Piece Of Mind
How is your Mind? Ironically, we do not think about our mind until it does not work exactly as it always has. The brain is just like all the muscles in our body and it needs your attention too!

Piece Of Mind is an educational and consulting firm focused on brain health. We offer interactive presentations and workshops designed to not only teach brain health techniques, but we also have fun doing them.

Spending a few minutes focusing on a PIECE of your Mind results in PEACE about your Mind!

What is the difference between forgetfulness and memory loss?

Forgetfulness is usually a sign that your brain functions are slowing down. To put it simply, you need more time to remember a name or a task you had set out to do. By this type of forgetfulness, it doesn’t prevent you from living a full and productive life, right? You are aware that you’re forgetful and may acknowledge it to others with a joke or a confession that you just simply forgot.

Memory loss feels different. Something just doesn’t feel right. Not wanting to draw attention to it, we act like everything is just fine. An occasional memory lapse is something you can accept, but persistent and more severe memory loss is of greater concern and warrants a visit with your doctor.
